Razones para ir hacia Adelante Exodus 14"13-16

Sermon Title: Our reasons to go forward.

Text: Exodus 14:13-16

Purpose: Four Reasons of our urgency to go forward.

Introduction.

J.F Kennedy one of the presidents of United States said on his inauguration date. It is not what our country can do for you, it is what you can do for your country.

On the same token. It is not what our church can do for you; it is what you can for your church. God wants to use your whole life and get out take the challenges that God is asking you.

When you look the history of the world to achieve great things require a lot, lot, lot of efforts. When you try to achieve the highest thing on your life, it will require that you have paid big high price. You have to take out the best of you.

When, Jesus came to the world. He came with the task to conquer our life. He paid the high price at the cross, and that high price was Jesus’ life.

God called Moses to accomplish one the biggest challenges of the world. He said to Moses I want to take my people out of bondage.  He putted a lot excuses like you, but God replied to him I want to use you. Moses replied to him how the Israelites will know I am the man, and God said I will you always.

For 430 years God’s people had been in bondage in Egypt. After the death of the first born throughout Egypt, God’s people were thrown out Ex. 12:33 “The Egyptians urged the people ; to send them out….”  “y los egipcios apremiaban al pueblo, dandose prisa de echarlos de la tierra.” It is estimated that 1.5 to 2 million marched out of Egypt. What incredible picture. The day of deliverance had arrived God’s people had been set free.

God let his people through the wilderness by the red sea. During the day God went before them in a pillar of cloud, and at night God went before them in a pillar of fire. God revealed to Moses you are the man to go in front of Pharaoh and tell him the consequences if you don’t let my people to be free or let my people go. One of ordinary man God chose him to do one the greatest miracles have been recorded in the Bible. God took Moses under His wind and God was Moses’ greatest mentor, and greatest tool.

And then Moses told his people “do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today, for the Egyptians whom you have seen today. you will never see them again forever. The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent. Then the Lord said to Moses, why are crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward. As for you lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea divide it, and the sons of Israel shall go through  the midst of the sea on dry land.

My purpose today is to obey God and take with us His challenges. When you and I take God’s challenges you will see the reasons and the urgency why you and I should go forward. It is urgent to go forward, get out of your comfort zone and take God’s blessings and standards with us.

1.    First Reason:  Why should I go forward?.

A.   Because God wants.

God wants you and I to do our job. It is mandatory, when our boss talks you have to do it. God is urging to go into the city and take His message outside of these four walls. You have to do the best of your life.

Moses has to obey Him and trust Him.

Illustration when your wife was pregnant, and asking you Honey I want from you to go to walmart and bring me a delicious cake. And you replied to her but it is midnight. Honey but I want it, please go.

B.   Because we must not remain immobile.

Many of you are immobile, and sometimes you ask why this church is not growing, and dear brother you have the answer because you are immobile. We must go out as a team, not matter what is your position and what position you are playing. God gifted you and empower us to do your God’s Job.

Let’s review where we are. Many of you still immobile you don’t that we need you. No matter whom you are. The Lord wants to use you. Many of us complain this man made a lot mistake, but my dear brother the person who made mistake is the person who is in the field.

2.    Second reason. We have God’s promises.

He will fight for us. God is great in His mercy. God will open the doors that are necessary to enter. The bible says clear to us If the Lord is with us, who is against us. The battle is Lord’s battle. He will not abandon you on the midst of the fight.

Look inside the Bible and I count how many promises God is given us. He promises to be with you always. Do not be afraid! stand firm. This is my role to stay firm.

His presence is permanent.

God is the commander in chief.

When we are surrounded by difficulties and don’t know what to do, we should do not fear and stand firm. Sometimes our human heart often causes to rush ahead without God. If we do that it is to lead to disaster. God promises to Moses my people are going to walk on dry land. It is sufficient for us God’s promises. We must move with Him. It was the proper time to cross the red sea. We have the commander in chief. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

God does not bless paper, God bless human like you and I, and through whole Bible you will see men have been blessed by our dear God.  We have to obey and to obey His promises. God will provide direction, on how we conquer many lives for Him.

When the people of Israel were ready to cross the red sea behind them was pharaoh’s army. God told Moses do not be afraid I will take care.

On difficulties on when see how big is our God. He created the whole universe, and He created us.

Illustration about the post-grade traumatology is 3 years and you know how long to learn to fix hands. 3 years.

God knows how to fight and how to win the battle. Mine is the battle says the Lord. He can send hail from Heaven remember Joshua 10:11 we are to talk about Joshua next time. The earth can open and swallow up the people Numbers 16:31-35. The angel of death can destroy all night 2 Kings 19:35.

God planned to destroy the Egyptians in the Red Sea. I think when God’s people were crossing the Red Sea, I think they were speechless. God’s people had done something but obey God’s command.

Through the history the people of Israel have been on jeopardy, but God always protect them.

3.     Third reason. God will provide our sources.

A, First source. Prayer

When Moses came to the Red Sea, he prayed about the problem that God’s people faced with the Red Sea in front and Pharaoh’s army close behind. His prayer was answered quickly; He was to lift up his staff and stretch his hand over the Red Sea, and Israel was to go forward on dry ground through the midst of the Sea.

Let’s go to Acts 12: 5 So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made fervently by the church to God.”

When he knocked at the door of the gate, a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer. When she recognized Peter’s  voice, because of her joy she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter was standing in front of the gate. They said to her you are out of your mind, but she kept insisting that it was so they kept saying it is his angel but Peter continued knocking and when they opened the door, they saw him and were amazed.

Why do we pray?

C.   Second source: God will use what we have in our hands

On Moses’ hand was Moses’ staff or rod

Exodus 4. Then Moses said what if they will not believe me or listen to what I say? For they may say the Lord has not appeared to you. The Lord said to him what is that in your hand? And he said a staff. Then he said throw it on ground. So he threw it on the ground so he threw it on the ground and it became a serpent and Moses fled from it. But the Lord said to Moses  Stretch out your hand and grasp it by its tail so he stretched out his hand and caught it and it became staff in his hand. That they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob has appeared to you.

The Lord furthermore said to him now put your hand into your bosom so he put his hand into his bosom, his hand was leprous, like snow then he said put your hand into your bosom again, and when he took it out his bosom, behold it was restored like  the rest of his flesh.

What means is?

The most important and critical source is your own life. But your life must holy before take God’s businesses.

Raise your hand what do you have in your hand?

D.   Third source: God will use my faith.

Do we have faith like Moses, The devil will  oppose to our job to our task. Our faith can move mountains.

Probably I am not eloquent of my speech. Probably I am slow with my tongue.

But Acting by faith we can do great and mighty things. I am not talking about super faith and I am talking to believe than God can open the Red Sea, and He will do wherever is necessary to accomplish His will. But He want from to have faith. No bigger than a seed of mustard.

Illustration moving mountains.

4.    Fourth reason: The victory belongs to us.

God will take us victory through victory. But we must together as a team. Football. Team.  God opens way for his people. But when we give us the victory my role will be to give the whole glory to God. I am not going to touch it.

He will defeat our enemies.

He wants to be on his side. He will give you everything that you need to accomplish God’s victory.

5.    Conclusion.

Thomas Monaghan is founder, president and chief executive offices of Domino’s Pizza Inc. from 1970 to 1985, Dominos’ grew from a small debt ridden chain to the second largest pizza company in America, with the sales over one billion dollars in 1985.

When asked to account the phenomenal growth of the company. The president explained I programmed everything for growth. And how did the plan for growth? Every day we develop people- the key to growth is developing people.

Not special cheese, not a tasty crust, not fat delivery schedules, but people! People are the key to all effective leadership.

Moses was not the same after he got the encounter with God. Moses was one the greatest accomplisher in the Bible. He was a man with a patience, and love for his people, but the most important he loves God more than everything because without I can’t the people of Israel out of bondage. He did it.

6.    First Reason:  Why should I go forward?.

7.    Second reason. We have God’s promises

8.    Third reason. God will provide our sources.

9.    Fourth reason: The victory belongs to us.
